“If I had a bakery” is my new weekly newsletter where I bake the stuff that I’d make if I had my own bakery.
Welcome to my new, rebranded newsletter!
For those that are new here, my name’s Ben Racey; I’m a chef turned food blogger & recipe develop and I run the food blog, Salt. Butter. Smoke. Here, I share tried & tested recipes to make at home, using tips & tricks that I’ve picked up during my 10+ years of cooking professionally.
Where my cooking passion really lies though, is with all things baking. That’s where this newsletter come in. Here I’ll be sharing the recipes that I’d make if I had my own bakery. We’re talking pastries & danishes, sandwiches made with homemade bread, chocolate chip cookies, cakes, brownies, doughnuts & loads more. You know, stuff that goes really well with a good cup of coffee!
Now here’s the plan.
Every week, I’ll send out an exclusive baking recipe in time for the weekend, usually on a Thursday or Friday (this gives you plenty of time to get ingredients!). There will be a different style of bake each week, so if there’s a cookie recipe one week, it could be a cake recipe the next week then a bread recipe the one after (for example).
If you’re a baking fan, you’re not going to want to miss out! My hope is that this newsletter will be like visiting your favourite bakery, for the price equivalent of a loaf of bread a month…
