Welcome back to another monthly update from my kitchen!
It’s been a busy month for recipes over on my blog, with almost 20 being published & several more still in development. We also published our 100th recipe a couple of weeks ago, which was a French toast ice!
Here’s some of my favourites from the last 4 weeks plus a sneak peak at what’s coming next month…
Ice Creams
We’ve made three batches of insanely good homemade ice creams this month! A raspberry ripple stracciatella, vanilla halva & French toast. They are all super easy to make as well!
The raspberry ripple stracciatella has a vanilla ice cream base, a sweet raspberry ripple & frozen shards of dark chocolate.
The vanilla halva has a sesame infused ice cream base with chunks of homemade vanilla halva mixed through.
And the French toast has a cinnamon French toast infused ice cream with chunks of caramelised brioche mixed in!
Ice Cream Recipes
Doughnuts
My overnight tangzhong doughnut recipe has become one of the blog’s most popular posts & I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out! They’re light, fluffy & coated in a nutty, brown butter glaze.
These doughnuts took a couple of batches to perfect but that’s never a bad thing! The recipe’s linked below…
Poolish Pizza Dough
Next up, we have my homemade pizza dough. This is made with a poolish pre ferment & is cold proved in the fridge over 3 days for extra flavour! It’s crisp with an airy crust & is best when cooked in a pizza oven…
Tiramisu
This one’s currently in development but should be up on the blog soon! I’ve tried to make my tiramisu as authentic as possible, using mascarpone, eggs, coffee & cocoa. But I’m also using two types of alcohol. One in the mascarpone & another in the coffee.
The first batch was very close to being perfect & only needed a couple of tweaks. So should be ready to go in the next week or so…
Christmas Recipes
It’s getting close to Christmas (sort of)! This means that they’ll soon be a whole load of festive recipes hitting the blog. Including homemade mince pies, the ultimate Christmas dinner (and all the trimmings!) & a huge range of leftover recipes.
If there’s a recipe you’d like to see at Christmas (or any time of the year), drop a comment below or send a message to my Instagram…
